Town of Niagara: Fichte, Endl & Elmer Eyecare holds site-naming contest

Fichte, Endl & Elmer Eyecare recently ran an internal contest open to its employees only. Doctors and staff were encouraged to submit proposed names for its new medical site in the Town of Niagara, which will be home to the new offices of Fichte, Endl & Elmer Eyecare.

Coordinator of Marketing & Outreach Kathy Otto said, “We had a lot of interest among the staff, with more than 15 employees submitting almost 75 different names for the new site.”

Claus M. Fichte, Michael J. Endl and Thomas Elmer Jr.,
practice owners, judged the contest and decided the winner was optometrist and
longtime employee Michael S. Murphy. His entry was “The Niagara Medical &
Ambulatory Surgical Park,” or the MAP for short.

The MAP will be situated on a 19-acre plot of land at 6500
Military Road and extend behind St. Leo’s Church on Military Road. The new
12,000-square-foot office of Fichte, Endl & Elmer Eyecare will be the first
business to open on the site in summer 2015. Attached will be an ambulatory
surgery center slated to open in fall 2015. This business is also owned by the
eye doctors and will serve as an outpatient facility for various eye surgeons
in Western New York. There are numerous available building sites on the grounds
and, once completed, the MAP will serve as a medical complex comprised of many
specialties.

“We hope to attract all types of doctors to the complex
offering everything from orthopedics and plastics to physical therapy,” Elmer
said of his latest project. For leasing information, contact Practice
