He also founded Vikram Foundation through his Fan Club and has held various camps, educating his fans to pledge for eye donation. He celebrates his birthday doing charity works. That is not all, he appeared in the charity musical ‘Netru, Indru, Naalai’ directed by Mani Ratnam and also voiced out his support for The Banyan.

 
He starred in a musical video ‘Mile Sur Mera Tumhara’ and was selected as a Youth Envoy for the United Nations Human Settlements Programme. He is also a part of the social projects ‘Karka Kasadara’ and ‘Patchai Puratchi’.

 
Vikram, has now gone one step higher and has donated half of his remuneration from the recently released I, to mentally challenged kids. He is definitely more than just a celluloid hero. Hats off Vikram!
