However, the good news is that with some tips and precautions wearing makeup with contact lens is completely safe and healthy.

Keep it clean
Always wash and dry your hands before touching your eyes or your contact lenses. It is very important to handle the contact lens with clean hands as dirty hands or presence of lotion or cream on your hands increases the risk of irritation and infection.
Choice of products
Make sure the makeup products you use are safe enough to be worn with lenses. It is advisable to use hypoallergenic make-up products to help avoid irritation of your eyes.
How to apply
Wear the lenses before you start applying any makeup to your eye. Choose waterproof products for eye makeup so that they don’t drain away with water or sweat. Also avoid applying eyeliner to the inner part of your eyelid. When applying powder eyeshadow, keep your eye closed and brush off any excess before opening your eye.
