Our eyes when sees bright visuals sends the brain the right signals. Foods such as carrots, tomatoes, bell peppers, strawberries, pumpkin, corn are excellent sources of vitamins A and C. While these fruits and vegetables being colourful are thought to help decrease the risk of many eye diseases.

 

Start adding legumes to our diet. Kidney beans, black-eyed peas and lentils are good sources of bioflavonoids and zinc which can help protect the retina and lowers the risk of developing macular degeneration and cataracts.

 

Another great source for healthy eyes are nuts. From pistachios, walnuts, almonds have nuts that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E as these boost your eye health.

 

Citrus fruits and berries are rich sources of Vitamin C which are great for healthy eyes. Oranges, grapefruits, lemons and berries are high in vitamin C, which may reduce the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration.
