Drishti 2014 Creative Contest Opens for Contestants with more awards

Agra, June 25, 2014: Drishti Creative Contest for the promotion of eye donation entered into fourth year with the announcement of opening of Drishti 2014 contest for participants. This year Antardrishti is introducing several new features in their national level contest and a new award category. Drishti is an arm of an Agra based non-profit organization Antardrishti which works for empowerment of visually impaired.

Entries are invited in four categories on the common theme of promotion of eye donation. Contestants can submit their entries in form of short films, posters, audio jingles and design. Selected entries will be given Golden Eye and Silver Eye in each category respectively. Contest will be remained open for submitting entries till 15th, September, 2014. All Indian citizens are eligible to participate in contest.

Starting form this year Drishti is introducing a new award category as Audience Award. This award in all four categories will be selected on the basis of online voting.

Drishti-2014-PC-pix-eAnnouncing the opening of contest managing trustee of Antardrishti, Akhil Srivastava said “With many new features we are also simplifying the process of participation in the contest. We would be accepting all entries including design through internet, this I m sure will save postage cost of contestants”.
Another new addition this year would be in design category. In the changed format design entries can be sent in two stages. Contestants are supposed to send only concept at the initial stage. Only shortlisted entries would be asked to submit the final product for jury screening.

Started in 2011 Drishti Creative Contest from Agra has become a popular at national level and did a pioneering job in creating awareness for eye donation. Prashant Tandon, a Delhi based senior journalist said, “Now we receive films and other entries in all major languages and parts of country, this shows wide interest of people of India in the noble cause of eye donation”.

Like previous years this year as well the award giving ceremony will be held in Agra.

Entries can be submitted by any Indian. One individual can send entries in multiple categories i.e. Short Film, Audio Jingles, Poster, and Design. Only individuals are allowed in contest and no group or organizational entries will be entertained.

Last date of the submitting entries in all four categories is 15th September, 2014
