Braille and large print books are provided to the visually handicapped and blind children enrolled in primary and upper primary schools. In the year 2014-15, 19652 Braille books were provided and 35045 large print books were given.

An amount of 3000/- per annum per child is provided under Inclusive Education for Disabled at Secondary Stage under the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan Programme, which can be utilised in a flexible manner, depending on the needs of each child.
