Non Profit for Blind in Financial Trouble – Arkansas Matters

A Central Arkansas non profit that serves some of our most vulnerable citizens in danger of closing.
World Services for the Blind provides housing and training programs for the blind and visually impaired.

Briston Bradley’s been living and learning at World Services for almost a year now.  He lost his vision in a car accident but is working to become proficient in Microsoft Office.

“We have a pretty serious cash flow problem,” said president and CEO Stacey Hunter Schwartz who took the job one month ago.  “I became concerned we’d wind up in a situation where wed have 30 [some]odd blind people here from all four corners of the country and we’d wind up with no heat, no water, no electricity.”
