The 1994 graduate of Wynford High School grew up in Bucyrus. She attended Ashland University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 1998. Fox then attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, which is now Salus University.

“I am a member of VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) and currently I am governor of the organization,” said Fox. “I have been on the board in some capacity pretty much since I joined.”

VOSH is a group of eye doctors and lay people who volunteer their time to perform eye exams and provide glasses for people who need them throughout the world.

Fox was recently in Haiti with VOSH during the five-year anniversary of the catastrophic earthquake that took the lives of over 230,000 people and injured around 300,000 when it struck on Jan. 12, 2010.
